Car Dealer Inspires "My Hero" Video

So I promised myself I would at some point blog about how God was so involved in the making of the music video for "My Hero" and one crazy way was through my husband Jim's car dealer- Brian at Rudy Luther Toyota.  We wanted the video to honor heroes in everyday life and then relate that to Jesus, our Greatest Hero.  We got all these ideas of who heroes are - soldiers, firefighters, teachers, coaches, parents....  We had the ideas, the images and the footage but didn't know how we were going to pull it all together. In the meantime, Jim was in the midst of upgrading his truck and when making conversation at the dealership Jim had mentioned the music video. When Jim went back to see Brian he asked Jim if he could be so bold as to make a suggestion.  He told us to look up John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends". That was it! That verse helped narrow our focus to heroes that have put their lives on the line for others which related perfectly to what Jesus ultimately did for us.  It was a great reminder how God can use anyone in our world, even people you may only come across once in your life, to speak to you or guide you.  Thanks Brian!  And thanks God!

Amazing how people are brought into your life for something. Then they help you figure something out-unrelated to what you met them for. I feel that sometimes God brings clients into my life for a reason.
