Develop a Gentle Spirit

Worry and anxiety are often created by harsh over-reactions made in an attempt to control our circumstances. We may worry about our child getting into trouble so we yell at them with a threatening lecture or we may react with a sarcastic comment to someone who has a bad habit we are worried about. These are not gentle or productive approaches and often make the anxiety and worry increase. On the contrary, reacting with gentleness requires self-confidence and wise control over our impulses and emotions. A gentle spirit, therefore, may not only prevent  unnecessary worry and stress but could even resolve worrisome conflicts and situations. Develop a gentle spirit and watch worry fade away on this “Not Gonna Worry” Wednesday.
