Keep Realistic Holiday Expectations

Putting unrealistic expectations on ourselves and others is common this time of year. We picture the "perfect" Christmas gathering. We think we have to find the "perfect" gifts for our loved ones. We devise a to do list that is completely unreasonable to accomplish our "perfect" Christmas. This sets us up for needless pressure and worry. Many times, we unintentionally even squeeze out Jesus, who should be the center of our celebration. Pray over your to do list. Ask yourself what is most important for you to experience this holiday season. Then evaluate if your expectations are in line with your values. Keep realistic holiday expectations and cross off all unnecessary worries on this "Not Gonna Worry" Wednesday.
