Learn to Be Assertive

We often create unnecessary worry and anxiety by being passive and/or aggressive. For example, we take on extra work in order to passively avoid conflict only to worry how we will have time for family. Or we aggressively snap at our loved one and then worry about the implications for our behavior. Being assertive means to express yourself effectively and stand up for your point of view, while also respecting the rights and beliefs of others. This life skill breeds healthy communication and peace. Learn to be assertive and your worries will disappear on this “Not Gonna Worry” Wednesday.
