Make Godly Assumptions

Worry is often formed from hopeless exaggerated assumptions; many times using absolute words like never or always. “I’m never going to get out of debt.” “I’m always going to have chronic worry and anxiety.” The truth is you cannot predict the future. Only God knows what is approaching and what is best for you. Most likely, God doesn’t want to just get you out of debt or manage your anxiety but wants to bring you prosperity and full healing. So when you do make assumptions, make them realistic, but also line them up with God’s character and His ways. If you are going to use absolutes, use them about God. “He is always faithful.” “He will never leave me or forsake me.” Make godly assumptions and watch your worries fade away on this “Not Gonna Worry” Wednesday.
