Stop Comparing

Comparison is a dangerous game. It takes away our joy, blinds us to the blessings we have, and stirs up stress and worry. Unfortunately, in this modern day world, it is so easy to fall into the trap of believing we do not have enough or worse, we ourselves are not enough.

Evaluate where in your life you are making destructive comparisons; status, intelligence, looks, wealth, godliness, parenting, etc.  Then, identify all the blessings you have in this realm of life. Make a list if you really want to let the gratefulness sink in. Thank God for all these blessings He has given you. Then, ask God to help you trust Him with your present situation and with your future.

Stop comparing and find contentment instead of worry on this “Not Gonna Worry” Wednesday.

We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise.  2 Corinthians 10:12
