Set Realistic Goals

Lofty, unattainable goals do nothing more than set us up for worry. We worry about failing, not measuring up or not finishing on time. We may also be tempted to put our goals ahead of more important areas of our lives, such as our relationships.

Goals can be good and healthy as long as they are made with the right perspective and are appropriate to bring about effective motivation. Seek God, when setting expectations for yourself, to make sure you are staying within His plan and desires for your life. The Bible says to always “seek first His kingdom”, so make sure you are in continual conversation with Him about how to flex or change or maybe even eliminate any goals you devise.

Set realistic goals on this “Not Gonna Worry” Wednesday.

“But the noble make noble plans, and by noble deeds, they stand.”  Isaiah 32:8
