Look for the Good in Others

When we nitpick at people’s character, behavior, ideas, opinions, etc., we are in a negative ungodly state of mind that is prone to worry. God calls us to see people the way He sees them; with compassion, understanding, as being made in His image.

When you catch yourself finding fault in someone, stop yourself and ask how Jesus would think, talk about, or treat that person. Then, make a point to see the person through the eyes of God and replace that dishonorable view with an honorable one. If applicable, take a further step to show kindness, grace, mercy, or forgiveness. This will transform your mind to be more loving, good, and peaceful which is a mind that has no need to worry.

Look for the good in others on this “Not Gonna Worry” Wednesday.

With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.  James 3:9-10
