One of the problems with worry is that it narrows our focus down to an expected outcome of our situation. We determine if this outcome isn’t exactly the way we desire, we will not be okay.
For example, we may worry about an athletic, musical or work performance and become so hyper-focused on the way the event will turn out, that it consumes our thoughts and creates stress and anxiety. Instead, try expanding your perspective to see this as an opportunity for growth and character building. See it as a place for God to be glorified and you to grow in your faith no matter if you have success or failure. In fact, failure may bring more blessings than success. Perhaps you can even expand your prayers for God to do good things in your life regardless of how your situation turns out.
Expand your perspective and close out worry on this “Not Gonna Worry” Wednesday.
